EXPERIENCE AGAINST MAORIS

Received October 20; 11.10 a.m. SYDNEY, Oct. 20

The death has occurred of Mr David Comber, aged.. 9.2, of Blacktow.n (New South Wales), who claimed to be the oldest, living campaigner against the Maoris.

Mr Comber, at the age of 18, was the youngest member of the contingent sent to suppress outbreaks among the natives at Wanganui and Taranaki.
