The Minister for Defence (Mr H. Y. Tliorby) said, to-day, it was now clear that the commencement of the trans-Tasman air mail service would be governed by the supply of the necessary aircraft. The Federal Government would submit the Bill to validate the agreement for the service to the Federal Parliament before the Christmas recess.

Outstanding points in the proposed agreement between the Governments of Australia, New Zealand, Britain, and the operating companies, Mr Tliorby said, had been adjusted.
