KOWHAI CRICKET CLUB.

St. Peter’s Church hall was the scene of another of the Kowliai Ladies’ Cricket Club dances on Saturday night when the club’s travelling fund was considerably augmented. The hall was decorated in the club colours—white and gold. Novelty dances were popular throughout the programme. A Monte Carlo was won by Miss Lois McKenzie and Mr G. Heath. The lady cricketers sang their cricket song; Jean Gallagher sang two songs and was accompanied at the piano by Miss Sheila. Heath. The duties of M.C. were carried out by Mr G. Health. The committee responsible for organising the dance were:—Misses Judy Christian (captain), Sheila Heath (secretary), Beatrice Hicken, Claire Millar and Josephine Christian.
