CANTERBURY CLUB.
The usual bright atmosphere prevailed at the Canterbury Club’s dance in the Orange Hall on Saturday night. Items were contributed by Beverley Hoffeins (tap dance) and Mr J. Mason (mouth-organ solos). Mr G. Oates played a ukulele accompaniment for the latter and also rendered elocutionary items. A statue dance was won by Miss E. McPherson and Mr J. liiason, and competitions by Mesdames R. Livingston and Fennimore. Both old-time and modern dancing were enjoyed and supper was provided by the iadies’ committee—Mesdames R. Livingston, W. C. Mui-ray, G. W. Braddell, G. Farrar and A. C. McPherson. Mr P. Wills was M.C.
