PREMIER’S OUTING.
VISIT TO TROTS
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Aug. 27. Looking well, the Prime Minister (Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) rose before / ’ lunch and prepared to attend the Auckland Trotting Chib’s meeting at Epsom. Because of the rain lie was doubtful earlier as to whether he would be allowed to leave his hotel, but the doctor, after a further examination, told him he had made such progress that a few hours’ outing would benefit him.
Mr Savage left the hotel, accompanied by Hon. P. C. Webb, shortly before 1 o’clock, intending ;to remain on the course for an hour or two only. The other members of his party had gone to the trots earlier.
