SCIENTIFIC RELATIONS.

NEW DIVISION SET UP. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Aug. 25. The chief feature of the; meeting of the British Association, which has now concluded, has been the decision to set up a division of the association dealing with the social and international relations of science. . It is felt by prominent scientists that the new division will have an enormous influence if it reveals scientific evidence which might provide a basis foi progressive social policies. Thirteen eminent English scientists and economists were nominated yesterday to the committee which is to* establish the machinery for the new division. Professor Ferguson (joint general secretary of the association) said that the committee would begin its work immediately as it was felt that there were a number of pressing problems for consideration.
