UNUSUAL ACCIDENT.
SMOTHERED TO DEATH. NEW YORK, Aug. 25. _ A message from > San Luis Potosi (Mexico) states that eight persons died of suffocation and many were injured in an unusual accident in a cinema theatre. . • , ' , The crowd on the balcony, at the conclusion of the programme, starte to move down the stairs. Someone stumbled, causing 50 persons to tall in a heap. Those at the bottom were smothered to death before they could be extricated.
