ST. PAUL’S GUILD.

The monthly meeting of St. Paul’s Guild was held at the parsonage, yesterday afternoon, and was presided over by Mrs Ashcroft,- a vice-presi-dent. Apologies for absence were received from several members. There was a good attendance. The usual business was dealt with, after which an instructive reading on “The Pyramids” Was given by Mrs Bycroft. Arrangements were made for a “hostess” afternoon, to take place at the September meeting. Afternoon tea was served by Mesdames Miller and Green. Votes of sympathy were passed to •Mesdames Cameron and East on account of illness. Mesdames Allan and Woodfield were in charge of a bring and buy stall, articles from which met with a ready sale. Mrs McDowell was thanked for her hospitality. The meeting was closed by Mrs Ashworth.
