STRUCK BY SUBMARINE.

INCIDENT IN THE SOLENT. LONDON, Aug. 23. While sailing in mid-Solent, the 50ton yacht June was holed amidships by a mystery torpedo fitted with a dummy head. None of the crew of four was hurt. The yacht was towed to Gosport. The skipper, Captain A. Barbrock, paid the torpedo passed under the yacht. “After striking us we saw an aeroplane coming up behind us. The Admiralty refuse to make a statement as to whether the torpedo came from a submarine or the aeroplane.
