INSTRUCTORS’ CONFERENCE. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 23. To discuss methods of instruction m manual training for the cabinet-making and building trades, a three-day conference of instructors throughout New Zealand opened at Christchurch lechnical College this morning. The conference, which is being held under the auspices of the New Zealand Icchnical School Teachers* Association is being attended by 53' instructors. Mr H. E. Thompson (Christchurch) was . appointed chairman, and Mr F. Hutchings (Christchurch) secretary. Papers were given by IVIr F. Barker (Auckland) on teaching methods, and by Mr It. S. Closs (Auckland) oil technical developments. \
