LADIES’ GOLF CLUB.
I MRS F. CAMERON FAREAVELLED. Members of the Feilding Ladies’ Golf Club met to-day to bid farewell to Mrs F. Cameron, who is leaving the district at the end of -the present month. Mrs Cameron was entertained at afternoon tea, and the captain (Mrs V. S. Short, in a short speech, , referred to the fact that she had been a member of the committee as well as having been associated with the club for some years. Unfortunately, owing to indifferent health Mrs Cameron had not been able to be present at the links very frequently, but had, however, taken a keen interest in the club’s welfare and at all times had ! been willing to assist in organising ] functions.
Mrs Short expressed her regret that the cluh was losing Mrs Cameron, and trusted that her health would improve and that she would be, happy in her new surroundings in Christchurch. All members wished her well, and on behalf of those present, Mrs Short presented Mrs Cameron with a dainty posy of flowers. Mrs Cameron returned thanks for the kind remarks and tor the _ posy. She regretted that she was leaving so many kind friends and wished the club
members continued success.
