WEDDING.

COKER—STOCK. A quiet wedding took place at the Methodist Church, Tauranga, on Wednesday, August 17, when Miss Constance Myrtle Stock, eldest daughter of Mrs Nix, of Bunnythorpe, was joined in matrimony to Thomas' Kitson Coker, second son of Mrs T. Coker and the late Mr Coker, of Tauranga, and formerly of Bunnythorpe, by Rev. G. Hunt, an old friend of the family. The bride, who was given away by her mother, chose a pin stripe navy costume,, with hat to match, and accessories to tone. She carried a posy of winter roses, japonica and white carnations. Miss Dorothy Pascoe, a friend of the bride, was bridesmaid and wore a nigger brown costume and hat to match. She carried a posy of white jonquils and primulas. Mr Lloyd Coker, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. The gift of the bridegroom to the bride was a cheque, and to the bridesmaid a crystal necklace.. After the ceremony a reception was held, when Mrs Nix, assisted by Mrs Coker, received friends of the young eouple. Mrs Nix wore a blue marocain frock and a navy hat and coat, and carried a posy of violets, carnations and heath. "Mrs Coker wore a navy hat, and coat trimmed with fur. She carried a posy of violets and daphne. Mr and Mrs Coker’s future home will be at “Hillsdene,” Tauranga.
