CAUGHT BY TIDE.
MOTOR-CAll WRECKED. Per Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, Aug. 19. An almost new sedan car was pounded to pieces on the rocks in Opunake Bay last night when it was overwhelmed by the tide. The car, driven by Mr McKay, became stuck in a tailrace on the beach and could not be removed before the tide rose over it and swept it on to the rocks. The battered wreck was salvaged this morning.
