Sir Matheson was at tlie organ. The bride entered the church escorted by her brother, Sir Gordon Esau, and attended by one bridesmaid, Sliss Delcie Fisher, sister of the bridegroom. A smart navy tailored costume was chosen by the bride, with navy accessories, and she wore a smart little toque with a very becoming eye-veil and a black fur stole. An outstanding feature of the bride’s ensemble was tlie ivory-backed prayer book which she carried, and from it hung a trailer of white camellias, white sweet-peas, asparagus fl nd maiden-hair fern, attached by white satin ribbon.

The bridesmaid also wore a navy costume and accessories, and carried a bouquet of white jonquils, forget-rrKr not and asparagus fern, tied witn white eatin ribbon. Mr Clyde Rolston (Levin) was best man, and Mr Harold Cocker and Mr Eric Jefferies acted as ushers. The clmrch was tastefully decorated with bowls of flowers and autumn foliage by a sister of the bridegroom, Miss Nolene Fisher. As the bride left the church she was_ presented witti a silver horseshoe by Kenneth Gray. After the ceremony intimate friends and relations were entertained at a reception. The tables were beautitul arranged with spring flowers and pretty pastel shaded serviettes. A beautiful two-tier cake, which held pride of place on the bridal table, was made bv the bridegroom s mother. About fifty guests were received by the bridegroom’s mother, who wore a navy tailored costume, and a smart hat with a fashionable eye-veil. Above is a photograph of Airs Elsie Al.ace, who has been missing from her home in Barnard Street. Highland Park, .Wellington, since 3.30 o’clock on Sunday morning, July 24. She was clothed in a pink nightgown, probably a bed jacket, and a dark red flannel dressing-gown, and bed socks with fancy lace-up fronts. It is thought that Airs Alaee may have wandered down to the Hutt Road and have been given a lift by a passing motorist. Airs Alaee was quite normal when she retired, but was recovering from an attack of influenza. A medical man is of the opinion that, when she opened the door of the house, the sudden shock of the cold southerly which was blowing, coming on top of the influenza, caused something to snap in the brain, so that Mrs Alaee will probably be suffering from loss of memory. Airs Alaee is aged 43. about sft 4in in height, of slight build, arms and neck well tanned, hair dark, turning grey. Anyone with any knowledge of the whereabouts of Mrs Alaee is asked to communicate with the nearest police station.
