MINISTERS DECLINE STATE-. MENT. \ _ ■; Per Press Association. AVELLINGTON, June 23. Both the Prime Minister (Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) and the Minister of Defence (Hon. F. Jones) said they had no statement to make when asked this evening whether any significance was attached to the announcement that Colonel A. S. AVilder and Colonel N. L. Macky were to relinquish their appointments as honorary aides-de-camp to the Governor-General. _

The Colonels (as , stated in the “Standard” yesterday) were signatories to the manifesto recently issued by four senior Territorial officers commenting on the Government’s defence policy.
