SEVERE BURNS.
CLOTHING IGNITED. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 24. Severe burns to the body, arms, and legs, and shook, were suffered by a factory hand, C. McDonald, of Mapuia Road, Miramar, at about noon to-day. McDonald had been working in an explosives factory in Park Road and his clothes had become covered in chlorate of potash. Later he went on to the street, where a spark from a cigarette ignited his clothing. The Free Ambulance took him to hospital. His condition was reported tonight to be unchanged.
