RED TRIANGLE DAY.
STREET APPEAL. Fine weather favoured the Red Triangle Day street appeal of the Y.M.C.A. yesterday. In all 48 ladies and 21 men comprised the groups whiijh canvassed the business houses and sold badges on the streets. The P.D.C., C. M. Ross Co., Collinson and Cunninghame, Woohvorths, Ltd., J. R. McKenzie, Ltd., McDuff’s, Ltd., Watclvorns and Libertyland greatly assisted by releasing a number of members of their staffs to assist in the appeal.
The members of the Y.M.C.A. classes were issued with badges last week, and the results from this source will not be known until next week. The takings from the stall in the Square have not vet been ascertained. “Canvassers report a very favourable reception to the appeal,” said Mr C- C. Woods, physical, instructor at the YfM.C.A., “and when the final figures come out there will; in all probability, be a slight' increase over last year’s total (£106).”
