FEILDING STOCK SALE.

LARGE YARDING OF SHEEP. GOOD SUPPLY OF BONER COWS. An ahnormal offering of sheep of all classes came forward for the Feilding stock sale to-day, the entry being far in excess of advertised numbers. A full entry of store lambs was penned, the quality being from medium to good.'' Breeding and store ewes were also well represented, while there were several pens of two-tooth wethers offered. In the fat sheep section the accommodation was. taxed to its utmost, all the pens being filled. A feature of the fat sheep section was the large entry of wethers. Fat lambs were yarded in good numbers, while the fat ewe section was filled to capacity. Several pens of very good quality P.A. and Hereford bullocks were yarded in the fat cattle pens, but the offering of fat cows ex-dairy was smaller. There was a heavy yarding of boner cows, while also in the store pens were several lines of nice quality yearling and two-year-old P.A. heifers and two or three pens of P.A. bullocks. Again the dairy cattle section was neglected, there being only several lines of springing cows and heifers for sale. Prices up to 1 p.m. were as follow: Store sheep.—Ewes, 4 and 5-year r.w. S.D. rams, 245, 24s 3d, 26s 9d, 27s 2d; 4-th to 5-year, r.w. S.D. rams, 27s 2d; do. r.w. Romney ram, 31s, 31s 6d; 4 and 6-th r.w. Romney ram, 32s 9d. The market for ewes was very sluggish and prices compared unfavourably with those secured at outside district sales, where sheep of poorer quality made higher values. • The buyers were treated to a good selection, and many of the ewes were of excellent quality. Fat sheep.—Lambs, b.f., 16s, 16s 3d, 16s. 7d, 17s, 17s 6d, 17s 7d, 17s lOd, 18s 2d, 19s, 19s'. 2d, 19s 4d, 19s 7d, 20s, 20s 3d, 21s. Romney lambs, 15s Id, 15s 6d, 15s Bd, 17s, 19s, 21s, 22s 4d, 235.
