ASSISTING DEVELOPMENT. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 21. “The special committee appointed by the Government has submitted its report on the suitability of Rongotai aerodrome, Wellington, as a first-class airport, and its recommendations are being given serious consideration by the Government,” said the Minister of Public Works (Hon. R. Semple), tonight. “Seventy aerodromes were under construction in the last financial year, and about 50 other sites are
being considered.” Referring to the steady progress being made on the development and extension of aerodromes, Mr Semple said that generally good progress had been made toward the ultimate requirements of "civil aviation —adequate aerodromes at all stopping places, sufficient emergency landing grounds along the air routes, satisfactory radio and meteorological service, and the provision of special equipment for night and low visibility flying-
