JUNIOR A. In the continuation of the junior A competition, Combined Services beat High School by an innings and 19 runs. They were in an almost unbeat-, able position at the end of the first day. School had made 87 in their first innings, to which Services had responded with 207. School were out tor 91 in their second strike (Pegden 85 not out; Woodley, 2 for 5, Morgan, 2 for 11, Blummont, 2 for 19). Optimists beat Old Boys by an innings and 17 runs. Old Boys made 77 on the opening day, to which Optimists replied with 210. Old Boys went out on Saturday for 116 runs (Cozens 48, Clifford 27; Kempson, 6 few 43, L. Zaloum, 4 for 46).
