CENTRE CHAMPIONSHIP. The final of the Manawatu Bowling Centre’s pairs championship was decided at the Taka.ro green on Saturday afternoon, when Kershaw and ohogland, skip (Northern) accounted for Bailey and Gordon, skip (Terrace End) bv 33 points to 10. Northern had previously beaten Roore and Thomson (Foxton), winners of the title for the previous three years, in a semi-nnal
game. . , n Skoglund was drawing particularly well for Northern, but the Terrace End skip missed with running shots and drives in an attempt to retrieve his position After early reverses. Northern led 15—5 at the Bth head and soon after scored a six and a five, after which the issue was never in doubt.
