ACCIDENT IN RONGOTEA.

BOY RIDES INTO LORRY. (From Our Own Correspondent.) RONGOTEA, March 4. A narrow, escape from a very serious accident occurred in the Square, Rongotea, on Friday afternoon. As Mr A. Jessop was leaving the factory with a load of butter for transfer to Longburn, he was overtaken by his eight-year-old son Bruce, who was riding a bicycle. Thinking the boy wished to communicate with him, Mr Jessop slowed down, and the boy crashed into the rear of the lorry, sustaining sevoro injuries to his head and thigh. He was rendered unconscrious, and was later conveyed to the Palmerston North Hospital.
