ONLY LOVERS’ QUARREL.

FILM COMEDIAN’S TROUBLE. LOS ANGELES, February 21. Mile. Vera Shuvalova, the Russian singer, who eloped with Stan Laurel, the film comedian, on New Year’s Day, has entered hospital suffering from a nervous breakdown. She told a friend that she had decided to leave Laurel. News of the rift was announced by Countess Sonia, a friend of Mrs, Laurel, but the Countess believes that it has merely been a lovers’ quarrel, and that the couple will probably be reconciled. This is the second time within a fortnight that Mdlle. Shuvalova has been admitted to hospital in a nervous state.
