PROGRESS DIFFICULT.

ANGLO-IRISH TALKS. LONDON, Feb. 27. Mr E. de Valera, who has left for home, stated that he expects the Anglo-Irish talks will probably conclude next week-end. He added that the differences were so great that it was difficult to reach agreement. Only a comprehensive settlement would possess world significance, but it seemed almost unattainable. A British official wireless message states: The Times, referring to the Anglo-Irish conversations, say? it is still hoped that at least a trade agreement mil emerge from the talks.
