TERUEL BOMBED.

LOYALIST ARTILLERY. LONDON, Dec. 21. Following the fall of Puerto de Escandon, which protected Teruel’s eastern side, Loyalist artillery subjected the town to a terrific bombardment. The scene under blinding searchlights resembled the shooting of a monstrous film. The defenders desperately counterattacked on the north, west and south sides, hut failed to break the Loyalist stranglehold. The Gibraltar correspondent of the Times 6ays the Spanish frontier has been reopened and the steamer service to Algeciras resumed. The insurgents announced that the Gibraltar frontier would be closed on December IG, and it was expected that General Franco’s big push would begin after that date.
