RANGITIKEI.

MARTON, Dec. 21. Cr. K. W. Dalrymple presided over the final meeting for the year of the Rangitikei County Council. The Public Works Department wrote giving authority of £2OOO (£3 for £1) tor the Mangahoe roads metalling. It was decided to donate £5 5s to the Far East Relief Fund of the New Zealanu ived Cross Society. The treasurer’s statement showed that the debit balance after the last meeting was £25.676 Us 2d. Payments since last meeting amounted to £2197 5s Bd, making a debit balance of £27,873 5s lOd. Receipts totalled £7319 13s 6d (Main Highways subsidies, £3OBO 13s 7d; rates etc., £2239 14s 8d; sales of metal, etc., £BBB 6s lid), leaving a debit balance of £20,553 12s 4d. The debit balance after to-day’s payments of £3037 5s 8d amounted to £23.090 18s.
