FARMERS’ UNION.

The monthly meeting of the Feilding branch of the Farmers’ Union was held at Colyton la6t evening. Mr H. D. Richardson (president) presided over a good attendance. Members of the Women’s Division co-operated to make the meeting a success and at the conclusion of business served supper. A letter from the New Zealand Road Transport Alliance dealing with the schedule of prices for the carting of ■ sheep and pigs was dealt with. An address was given by Mr Elphick. Government veterinarian of the Department of Agriculture, on “Pulpy kidney in sheep.” The speaker was accorded a hearty vote of tha.nks.
