VALEDICTORY.
MR COPPOCK FARE WELLED. Mr J. H. Coppock. accountant on the staff of tlie Feilding branch of the Union Bank of Australia, who leaves for New Plymouth tomorrow on promotion, was entertained by clients of the bank at a luncheon yesterday. Mr P. B. Desmond presided, and in a short speech made reference to the popularity of their guest and expressed regret that the Feilding branch was losing the services of an esteemed officer. Congratulations on his promotion were extended by the speaker, who said that Mr Coppock well-merited the notice headquarters had taken of him in promoting him to an important post. Mrs Coppodk would also be missed by her many friends. •Mr C. E. Taylor and Mr Davies, the present manager, also spoke; the former, on behalf of the bank’s clients, asked Mr Coppock to accept a handsome silver entree dish, with best wishes for his continued success. ' Mr Coppock replied and a welcome was extended to his successor, Mr Trenemau.
