Search parties, at midnight, found the body of a member of the Royal Air Force, Pilot-Officer Jones, in the foothills near Lake Habbaniyah. His skull was fractured and he had been stabbed several times. His bicycle was missing. Pilot-Officer Jones had cycled to the lake from Dihbba camp early in the evening.
