SENTENCE TO GAOL.

Per Press .Association. WELLINGTON, Dec. 8. John William Thompson, aged 19, a railway porter,' was to-day -sent to gaol for a month by Mr E. Stilwell, SM , On a charge of converting a motor car valued at £350. the property of Arthur John Curtis. It; was not a case of callow youth, lie said. Accused had had every opportunity. The evidence had shown that, the cai was a new one and that, twice accosted while 'in possession of it, accused had maintained it was his own.
