YOUTH FOR SENTENCE.
CASE AT WELLINGTON. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Dec. 8. Bernard Edward Way, aged 19, a truck driver, was to-day charged with breaking and entering by day a dwelling at Roseneath iand theft. The evidence of Mrs Painter was that accused was employed for a few days by her husband, whose butcher shop was in front of the dwelling, and was dismissed when he did not turn up to work on November 16. She and her husband were away on the night of Saturday, November 20, and on returning found the house in the possession of the police. A milk roundsman gave evidence of finding a window open, but of getting no response to his call at the back door. He informed the police, who linked up accused with the crime largely bv means of finger prints. Accused pleaded guilty and was committed for sentence, and sentence on a further charge of the conversion of a car at Christchurch on June 21 was deferred till he is dealt with in the Supreme Court.
