BASIC WAGE.
INCREASE IN AUSTRALIA. Received December 7, 11.25 a.m. . MELBOURNE, Dec. 7. Additional expenditure of £503,009 a year by the Federal Ministry is involved in a determination given by the Commonwealth Public Service arbitrator, who has granted an increase in the .basic wage of all employees in the Federal Public Service by £l6 per year for adult male workers and £ll per year for adult female workers.
