COUNCIL OF SPORT
START EARLY NEXT YEAR. Per Press Association. , WELLINGTON, Dec. 6. The setting up of the national council under the Physical Welfare and Recreation Act is to be put in band early in the New Year, said the Minister of Internal Affairs (Hon. W. E. Parry) in a statement to-day. “There will be a big responsibility placed on the council,” lie added, “’‘but, with a careful selection of its personnel for all-round interest and enthusiasm in sport and recreation, the foundation for the operation, of the seneme will be safe and sound.”
