The friends of Mr AV. Smillie, who suffered shock in the aeroplane accident at Rongotai on Friday, will be pleased to leirn that arrangements were made for him to return to Palmerston North yesterday. He was being accompanied bv his father. Mr D. F. Smillie, of Park Road. Mr C. E. Critchlev, the new Australian Trade Commissioner for New Zealand, has arrived, at Wellington from Sydney. In an interview he said he believed that New Zealand and Australia had a great, destiny in the Pacific.
