The movement is becoming n tional in character and it is fitting th the local committee should have been able to secure the assistance of station whose artists (Benno and Betty, Brian O’Brien and Barcnd Harris) have signified their intention of assisting the project. The “Straight Eight” will also be heard in tuneful numbers, also Mr G. Whitoloclds attractive voice. Mr Alan Sundbourn is to entertain with the guitar. Alan Loveday will again be heard on the violin. Other variety items are to bo staged and an excellent programme of the popular type will bo rendcrod. Box plans are now open at Coles’s Music Store and there is every prospect of a splendid house as a gesture of the goodwill of the pooplo of tho city and district.
