LOCAL BODIES.
AMALGAMATION PLAN. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Dec. 7. In view of the Prime Minister’s intention to move for the adjournment of Parliament at the end of this week is is unlikely that the special committee on the Local Government Amalgamation Bill will meet again this year. Mr Parry said to-day there were Still some eighty local bodies and others who had intimated their desire to place their views on the measure before the committee.
