SYMPATHY WITH COLLEAGUES

(Times Cables.) Received December 7, 12.40 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 6. The Vienna representative of the Times says the annual conference oi the Roman Catholic Bishops, in Austria lias sent a message to their German colleagues saying: “In this time of grave ordeal for the Catholic faith, to Avhich the Catholic clergy and Catholics generaly in the German Reich are exposed, Ave Austrian bishops see ourselves impelled to express our deepest sympathy, and say how much avc are affected by that Avliich is happening in Germany, where the State is systematically and incessantly proceeding Avith the use of force to extremes in order to eliminate and repress the Christian religion, and to mtfet all active resistance Avith new penalties and persecution.”
