BIBLICAL STORIES.

REPRESENTATION IN FILMS. Received December 7, 12.40 p.m. LONDON, Deo. 6. After a questionnaire by the British Board of Film Censors, the Cinema Christian Council and the Public Morality Council held a conference under the chairmanship of the Bishop of Southwick and decided that Biblical stories in films be told in Biblical or congruous language and that film censors not depart from the principle ol’ not certifying for exhibition any representation of the figure of Christ. Some members favoured the representation of Christ in films suitable for exhibition in churches, produced under religions auspices. The introduction of the “voice” of Christ could not necessarily be ruled out, provided tlie words were those used by the Gospels.
