SOUTH AFRICAN SHIPPING. Received December 7, 11.40 a.m. CAPETOWN, Dec. 6. Mr Raymond Jones, assistant manager of the Shaw, Savill and Albion Co., who has arrived on a tour of inspection, stated that a new flagship would be completed, in January, 1939. The voyage from England to the Cape would take 14 days, the Cape to Durban 42 hours; and Durban to Fremantle, 9J days. Australia and New Zealand should be brought within short travelling distance and should become prospective tourist resorts for South Africans, and vice versa.
