HAWKE CUP MATCH.
THE PLAYERS TO PRACTISE. It has been announced by the sole selector of the Manawatu Cricket Association (Mr A. M. Ongley) that the following players are to practise at the Sportsground under the coach (Mr G. Wheatley) every Wednesday night. From this number (20) will be selected the team to meet Taranaki in the Hawke Cup match commencing at Palmerston North on December 25, The players are ; Palmerston. —W. E. Norris, T. L. Pritchard, G. A. Robertson, M. A. and J. A J Ongley. City.—C. and S. McVicar, H. Nairn and I. Hearsey. Old Boys.—N. Gallichan, N. Waters, and M. O’Keefe. Y.M.C.A.—-J, Murchison, P. Spelman, and K, Hatch. United—W. Pollitt, K. Olliver, G. Berquist, and L. Cockery. High School. —T. Downes.
