MANAWATU ASSOCIATION. CLUB COMPETITIONS. Excellent conditions prevailed again on Saturday for the continuation ot the club competitions under the Manawatu Cricket Association. The wickets were in good order and although large individual scores were relatively few there were several good team performances. The eight-ball over and the twoniinute rule were applied"for the first time this season. Old Boys made 162 against City, who have 3 wicket down for 23 runs in the senior A grade. Y.M-O.A. put on 214 runs against Palmerston and then took 5 Palmerston wickets for 67 runs. High School put op 186 against United, who had lost 1 wicket for 4 runs at stumps. ... Playing in the senior B division, United made 109, City replying with 252. Combined Services had first use of the bat against Y.M.C.A, for 195, the latter having 4 wickets down for 59 at stumps.
