REMARKABLE CASE.
CRIME REVEALED. PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 22. A remarkable story has been told by the police of how the mother of a 19-year-old girl, listening to mutterings in her sleep for many nights, pieced together the details of homicide which her daughter had committed. It so preyed on the mother’s mind that she called in detectives. Mary O’Connor, a 6tuden.t a.t the Immaculate College, when arrested at the home of her grandfather, where she was visiting, readily admitted that she had been followed by Nancy Gleen, a neighbour’s child, who had demanded the use of her bicycle. She struck her and buried her in a muddy pool. Mary’s father, ovlio is a teacher at the local high school, said his wife was so worried that she had lost two stone until she had decided to call in the authorities.
