OTAKI, Oct. 18. Sheep-worrying is prevalent in this district and on several farms valuablo animals have been killed.

The Municipal Croquet Club opened the season on Friday afternoon. Mrs Milne, patroness, before declaring the lawns opened for play, apologised for tho absence of f!ie Mayoress (Mrs O’Rourke). Mrs Milne also made reference to tho fine work done by members and thanked those who had given trophies.
