MOTOR CYCLING

MANAWATU-ORION CLUB. Taking a route from Palmerston North to Bunnythorpe (via back roads), Oolyton, Watershed Road, Ashhurst, across the river to Aokauterc, on to tho Palmerston NorthWellington main road, and back to the starting point in Cuba Street, eleven riders participated in the Manawatu-Orion Motor-Cycle Club’s second reliability trial run for tho Bai Cup. Starts were made at twominute intervals. In the following list, the riders appear in order of merit with total points lost, assessed by comparing the arrival time of each rider at the various checking points on the way with his schedule time. The scheduled speed for the total journey was 25 miles per hour: C. Gore 1, 11 points lost; J. Robson 2, 12 points lost; M. Andrews 3, 22 points lost; D. Collison, 54 points lost; S. Mclntyre. 55 points lost; C. S. McCormick 57 points, lost; J. Redshaw, 69 points lost; J. Belk, 89 points lost; R. Styles, 94 points lost; E. Pink, 99 points lost; J. Manning, 117 points lost.
