BILLIARD CONTEST.
Per Press Association. * WELLINGTON, Aug. 31. In the New Zealand amateur billiard championships this morning A. Bowie (Dunedin) beat D. Rosenbaum (Wellington) by 666 to 580; at one stage Rosenbaum stood 441 to 357, but Bowie took it to 548 all and, largely with the aid of a break of 53 compiled at the top of the table,' he ran out the winner by a good margin. .
