WHAKARONGO SCHOOL JUBILEE—The Diamond Jubilee celebrations of the Whakarongo School took place to-day. The above photograph, which is the prized possession of Mr W. A. Waters, was taken 40 years ago (1897), and includes the following members of the staff and pupils:- Mr Edwin Ironmonger (headmaster), Miss Hastings, Miss standen C. Puklowski, F. and H. Bryant, T. Fowel, J. Rosanosk, W.A. Waters and A. Ironmonger. The girls include M. Lynch, C. Puklowski, W. Waters, B. Kilpatrick and A. Maul. The Newdick and Hansen families are among those represented.
