FOOTBALLER’S DEATH.
MANAWATU REPRESENTATIVE. MR H. KNYVETT. Following ft brief illness, there passed away in a private hospital in Palmerston North, this morning Mr Hone Knyvett, only son of Mrs L. Knyvett, of Stanway, Feilding. The late Ml Knyvett was in his early twenties and had enjoyed robust health until ten days ago, when he caught a chill which later developed into pneumonia. He was a lover of sport and was a prominent forward player in the Tedding Old Boys senior football team. He was also a Manawatu B grade representative player. He was a n ell-h----and popular young mail.
The sympathy' of a wide circle of friends has gone out to the bereaved mother and his two sisters, Mrs M. C. Amadio, of Halcombe, and Mrs Nelson Ball, of Feilding. A follower of the ltugby code in Feilding, commenting on the passing of Mr Kynvett, this morning, said that he was a player of splendid physique, weighing over 14 stone, and one who played the game for the love of it; he never showed malice or enmity towards his opponents.
