PALMERSTON NORTH SALE. Competition was keen at the sale of wool oddments, sheepskins, hides and lalJow held by Abraham and Williams, Ltd., on Thursday, at Palmerston North. Values iri most cases advanced slightly on their last sale. Wool: Values for all grades were firm. Sheepskins: There was a slight drop in finer wools, but wool of the coarser type advanced. Hides : The values received for both ox and cow hide were slightly in advance on the last sale. Calfskins were on a par. Tallow: Thera was a further decline in values of Is to ls6d per cwt. Sheepskins.-—Fine first, 15d to 16d; fine hoggets, 15d to 15£d; hoggets, 14j{d to 15{d; threequarter full-wools, 15-jd to 16fd; quarter half-wools, 13fd to 153 d ; crossbred damaged, llfd to 13fd; lambs’, 14jd to 15-Id. Hides.—Ox, heavy, 9Jd to lOd; medium, 9d to lOd; light, 83d to 9d; cow, heavy, Bjjd to Bgd; medium, 83d to Bgd; light, B§rl to 83d; yearlings, 8d to 12|d; calf, light, first, 15jd to 16A’d; second, 14Jd to 15d; cut, 13jd to 14|d. Tallow.—ln drums, first, 20s to 22s 9d; in tins, first. 14s to 15s.
