The topmast of the racing yacht Britannia has been erected as a flagstaff in the playing fields of the Royal Naval College, Dartmouth. A metal model of tlio yacht surmounts the flagstaff as a weather vane. The Britannia was the racing yacht of King Edward VII and King George V. She was dismantled and sunk under instructions left by King George V, but King Edward VIII saved the mast and presented it to the college last year.
