The following is the draw for the ladies' medal round for the Williamson Rose Bowl and Etna Cup on July 24 : Miss Younger and Mr 3 Shannon, Mrs Old and Mrs Williamson, Miss Green and Miss _D. Shannon, Miss Whitehead and Mrs Wither, Mrs Stuart and Mis Stewart, Mrs Brooker and Miss T. Williamson.
Results of last week’s cribbago competition make Waituna winners of the cup for tliis sea6on. This is the first occasion they have possessed the cup. Before leaving to take up their residence at Massey College. Mr and Mrs -I. Buchanan were entertained by their friends of the Beaconsfield district in the school. The first part was occupied by playing euchre and cribbage. Mr W. Tattersall annexed the first prize for euchre and Mrs Sandbrook, of Woodville, the ladi<*’. In the cribbage tho men’s first prize went to Mr F. Arrow and the ladies’ to Mrs Pearson. Mr Old spoke of the many good qualities of the departing guests and on behalf of the settlers presented them with a beautiful eiderdown quilt; (Mr Buchanan also received a. wristlet watch. Mr and Mrs Buchanan were accorded musical honours. Dancing was indulged in to music kindly supplied by Mr Gordon Fitzpatrick and an extra by Mr F. Arrow.
